Abbey Gardens - Live
The world's first 'Internet Bench' is in the birthplace of the Magna Carta - the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds.

The internet bench is a pilot to encourage people to use the web outdoors by helping people connect to the web any time, and from any place.

Working in partnership with the Council, MSN has converted a standard park bench to create the unique Internet Bench, which allows up to four people to log on to the web with their laptops at the same time.

Oggle were requested to provide a live picture of the Internet Bench. By mounting a camera in an adjacent tree and connecting to an Oggle Remote Video Archive unit, Oggle provide both live and recorded video of the Internet Bench.

Oggle also provided a camera overlooking the central flower area of Abbey Gardens connected to the Oggle Archive through a 200 metre wireless connection.
